Mastering Open Governmental Proceedings

John Stump, Member of Steptoe & Johnson, PLLC, will lead this discussion that will focus on the “nuts and bolts” of compliance with the Open Governmental Proceedings Act (the “Sunshine Law”) addressing questions such as: 

1. How far in advance of a meeting am I required to post the meeting agenda?
2. How far in advance of a meeting may I amend the agenda?
3. What information is required for an agenda item?
4. When can we go into executive session?
5. What information is required to go into the minutes for a meeting? 

We will also have time for questions and round-table discussion.
